Caleron was established in 2026 by Kieran 'Ronnie' Trasler to offer aviation and defence organisations access to experienced executive leadership on a consultancy basis. With over 30 years in aviation — from RAF squadron command to General Manager of a regulated component MRO and aerospace engineering design business — Ronnie brings a rare combination of hands-on operational credibility and board-level governance experience.

Kieran spent thirty years in aviation before founding Caleron, beginning as an RAF pilot on the VC10 fleet and progressing through flying instruction, international operations and command. Kieran spent thirty years in aviation before founding Caleron, beginning as an RAF pilot on the VC10 fleet and progressing through flying instruction, international operations and command. As Officer Commanding 101 Squadron he was accountable for 130 personnel and the operational output of nine aircraft across global air mobility and airborne refuelling, delivered through the MOD's largest Private Finance Initiative. He went on to serve as Assistant Head of Capability Strategy in the MOD where he directed implementation of £11bn of additional defence funding following the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review and provided radical force structure options in subsequent budgetary rounds. Subsequently he led policy and strategy for the UK Military Aviation Authority, authoring the organisation's ten-year strategic context analysis and rewriting its corporate strategy.

As General Manager of Nova Systems International's Mission Solutions division, Kieran held full P&L accountability for a £20m aerospace design, production and component maintenance business. As General Manager of Nova Systems International's Mission Solutions division, Kieran held full P&L accountability for a £20m aerospace design, production and component maintenance business. He delivered significant revenue and profit growth in his first year through disciplined contract execution and active risk management, and secured UK CAA Part 21G and Part 145 approvals within eighteen months — serving as Nominated Person for both. His Part 145 experience is specifically in component maintenance, reflecting the organisation's approved scope. He also led major commercial bids and negotiations across MOD, EASA and international clients, and introduced a Materials Requirements Planning system to underpin compliant production operations.

Kieran is a Chartered Director and Fellow of both the Institute of Directors and the Royal Aeronautical Society. He served for seven years as Chair of Trustees of an Ofsted-regulated charity, where he secured £500,000 of capital investment and strengthened the organisation's financial resilience and governance standards.
